Salman Butt has criticized the Rawalpindi wicket, where the first Test between England and Pakistan is currently underway after the visitors scored 500+ runs on Day 1.

The former Pakistan captain slammed the administration and pitch curator, claiming that the pitch is unsuitable for spin or pace bowlers.

Salman Butt stated on his YouTube channel: “They don’t want to play pace or spin.” “Watch a Ludo series.”

Ramiz Raja, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), also criticized the pitch in Rawalpindi. Such pitches, he said, belonged in the Dark Ages. They don’t do much to promote Test cricket.

Geo News cited Raja as saying to reporters: “Pakistan is stuck in the pitching pit. It’s humiliating for us, especially because the chairman is a cricketer.”

Babar Azam and company should bat for at least four sessions, in Salman Butt’s opinion, if they hope to amass between 600 and 650 runs. He also advised them to play longer to avoid having to bat in the fourth innings because the pitch’s characteristics might alter.

“We’re hoping for a score of at least 600 or 650.” We need to bat at least four sessions before Day 4 lunch. If the pitch is uneven and something happens, we’ll have to play the fourth innings as well” Salman Butt on his Youtube Channel.

Pakistan had 259/2 after 76 overs in response to England’s 657, with captain Babar Azam and Azhar Ali batting. Middle-order batters had the ideal foundation thanks to the opening pair of Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq’s 225-run first-wicket stand.

Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope, and Harry Brooks, four different England batters, all hit centuries earlier on Day 1.

With four wickets, but 235 runs allowed, Zahid Mahmood was Pakistan’s best bowler. Along with Mohammad Ali, Naseem Shah also claimed three wickets. Haris Rauf, who made his debut, also claimed his first Tests wicket.
