PAK vs ENG: "Test Win Over Pakistan One Of The Best I Have Been Involved In"- James Anderson

Pakistan Cricket Team suffered a heart-breaking loss against England in the 1st Test Match at Rawalpindi. England would be pumped as picking up 10 wickets on a dead pitch was never easy. England had taken a huge risk as chasing 342 runs was not a tough task given the batting quality Pakistan has.
Pakistan would rue their shot selection as they played into the hands of England’s bowlers. Ben Stokes’ short ball technique proved to be quite fruitful as the batters were in two minds about whether to attack or defend. England made a statement that they cannot be written off in overseas conditions.

James Anderson On Victory
James Anderson was having an interaction with Sky Sports and was asked about the match. “I don’t think I have actually. It’s probably one of the best wins I’ve been involved in, if not the best. On a pitch like that, to play the way we did, to score runs at the rate we did, we gave ourselves a chance to get the result.” said James Anderson.

“It was an unbelievable effort from everyone. We knew it was going to be difficult, it just feels like with Ben and Brendon (McCullum, head coach), their mantra is ‘we’ve got to take wickets’. We look to take wickets all the time.” he added.
Clinical Performance from England
England from Day 1 looked on a mission as they had a clear game plan. The batters showed a lot of intent and never allowed Pakistani bowlers to take the control of the match. Under Brendon McCullum’s tenure, the team so far has won 7 matches out of 8 and has looked a force to reckon with.
Skipper Ben Stokes would be well aware of the fact that Pakistan would be ready for all sorts of challenges. The Men in Green should recall one of Hasan Ali or Mohammad Abbas as Haris Rauf looks unlikely for the 2nd Test Match. It would be interesting to see how the 2nd Test Match pans out as we can expect riveting action.
