Jack Leach, the shrewd spinner was spot on with his line and length as he took two more important scalps of Rizwan and Nawaz. Ben Stokes’ decision to introduce Root did wonders for the team as all of a sudden he took 2 wickets in the 53rd over and the score was 169-8. In the end, Faheem Ashraf showed some resistance and took the total to 202 runs where England got a lead of 79 runs.
Pakistan had a dramatic collapse where they lost 7 wickets for 60 runs. England Skipper Ben Stokes would be pumped up as a lead of 79 runs is priceless in Test Cricket and given how the pitch is deteriorating, it can be a decisive factor.

Questionable approach coming into day 2 by Pakistan, real lack of intent to score any runs post Babar’s dismissal & some soft dismissals by the middle order throwing any advantage created yesterday by Abrar. Why is no one attempting to sweep? #PAKvsENG

England are a totally different Test Match team a year ago . Mindset , confidence and style of play . Hope they continue their away form in NZ and South Africa ( where India have never won a test series ) #PAKvsENG

England has plenty of time. Only 1st session of day 2 has passed. With lead of 70+ runs, they can bat till the end of day 3 and can give a healthy total of 450-500+ with their BazBall approach. We could've easily finish 1st innings witha a decent lead?♂️— Fahad Naveed (@HFahad2000) December 10, 2022
Babar can't bat for all of them so stop blaming him for the batting collapse.
When he was batting, things were totally different… The others need to take responsibility after him aswell. #PAKvsENG— MS ? (@Chaiiholicc) December 10, 2022

There is absolutely no need to allow contract players to play county next season. If they can't learn, they shouldn't atleast be allowed to over load! #PAKvsENG

The whole Pakistan team can't even make 281 runs ?. Disappointing it is, when you've match on your home ground. We really need quality test batsmen.
