Pakistan and England play a seven-match T20I series as a dress rehearsal to the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. The first T20I will be played in Karachi on September 20. Karachi will host the first four games while the final three will be played in Lahore. Both teams then play a three-match Test series in Rawalpindi, Multan and Karachi.
This is England’s first trip to Pakistan since 2005. Pakistan won the Test series 2-0 back then. England last won a Test match in Pakistan under 200 0under the leadership of Nasser Hussain. England won the series 1-0 back then. The PCB officials have welcomed the series with both arms and have extended their regards to the touring side as well.
“We are pleased that Pakistan and England Test rivalry, which has historically produced close and tight matches, will return to our backyards in December. Both the sides have evolved since they last played in Pakistan in 2005 and have recently been playing entertaining and exciting cricket. I remain confident this series will live up to the expectations of the global cricket fans who want to watch and enjoy competitive and thrilling matches,” said Zakir Khan, PCB Director – International Cricket.

Conditions for cricket will be hot and humid in Karachi, There will be a lot of humidity and dew is also expected to play a part in the contest. Conditions will be ideal for batting and the first match is expected to be a high-scoring contest.
The T20I matches will start at 7.30 pm local time in Karachi. The temperature in the evening is expected to be around 27 to 30 degrees. Humidity is expected to be around 75 per cent with no clouds in the sky or any rain threat. Karachi has hosted 7 T20Is so far.
