Multan hosts the second PAK vs ENG Test match from December 9 to 13. The test series is a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship with both teams languishing in the bottom half of the table. Pakistan are placed fifth while England is seventh.

The visitors won the first Test by 74 runs by playing an aggressive brand of cricket. An inspired second-innings declaration was backed up by the England bowlers James Anderson and Ollie Robinson. The duo took four wickets each to bowl out Pakistan for 268 in the second innings.

England won a T20I series 4-3 against Pakistan back in September before the Test series started. Then they played in the T20 World Cup and defeated Pakistan in the final to lift their maiden T20 title.

In the 7-match T20I series, England won the 1st T20I by 6 wickets while Pakistan won the 2nd T20I by 10 wickets. England won the 3rd T20I by 63 runs while Pakistan won the 4th T20I by 3 runs. Pakistan won the 5th T20I by 6 runs. However, England won the 6th and 7th T20I by 8 wickets and 67 runs respectively and grabbed the series victory 4-3.

Now, they have the Men in Green on the mat chasing to level the series. England’s aggressive intent in Test cricket is hugely praised. The 2nd Test will be played from December 9 to 13 while the 3rd Test will be played from December 17 to 21. Babar Azam is the skipper of Pakistan while Ben Stokes is the captain of England.

The second PAK vs ENG Test match will be played from December 9 to 13. The match starts at 10 am local time which is 10.30 am IST. The temperature across the five days of the Test match will be between 25 to 30 degrees with periods of hazy sunlight amid sunshine. There is no threat of rain and the weather will be clear for all five days.

So far only five Test matches have been played at this venue. The last Test match played at this venue was back in 2006. The average first innings score is 344 which increased to 427 in the second innings. Two matches have been won by the team batting first and two while chasing.
