After being destined to start their Super-4 campaign against India, the Pakistan Cricket team has now cancelled the press conference ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2025 match. India has already faced Pakistan once, and the humiliation meted out to the Men In Green has rocked their nation as well as the cricket board.

The Men in Blue dominated in the first game, as they won the match in a commanding fashion. The match ended disastrously, as the Pakistanis were left humiliated after Indian players led by Suryakumar Yadav left the field without shaking hands with the opposition players.

The PCB moved to the ICC, asking them to remove the match referee from the rest of the Asia Cup, as they blamed the match official for his mistreatment at the Dubai International Stadium. However, the Indian team as well as the ICC turned down any such accusations.

Pakistan cancelled the press conference ahead of the Super-4 match

After the former chairman advised the current PCB Chief to continue in the Asia Cup, the Pakistan team featured in the match against the United Arab Emirates. After defeating the unofficial hosts, Pakistan, alongside arch-rivals India, qualified for the Asia Cup.

The first match of the Super-4 stage for Pakistan has been scheduled against India. Pakistan Cricket Team has made a massive announcement that the scheduled press conference before the India vs Pakistan match has been cancelled.

This might be PCB's way of reverting back to the ACC as well as the ICC, after the board did not help them in their latest plans to counter the humiliation already caused by the Pakistan players.

How will India's behavioural conduct be against Pakistan in the second encounter of this Asia Cup?

India showed Pakistan their place in the first Asia Cup match. From the beginning of the game, skipper Suryakumar Yadav made his intentions very clear. He did not have the customary handshake with Pakistan skipper Salman Agha.

After the match, another handshake row left the Pakistanis humiliated. The players were left baffled as Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, the two batters, walked straight out of the field after having hit the winning runs for India.

This was India's protest against the Pahalgam terror attacks that took place earlier this year in the Indian province of Kashmir, which had strained the relationship between the two nations. When India takes on Pakistan in the second game, their behavioural conduct will be another thing to look at.

Can Pakistan avenge their humiliating defeat against India

Pakistan batters managed to score just 127 runs in the first innings against India. Spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav played a major hand in sealing the game for India. Indian batters chased the score with ease and ended the game with a 7-wicket victory.

This time around, Pakistan might look to avenge their defeat from their archrivals. They would also be eyeing a good start, since only the top two teams in the Super-4 stage can go on to play in the Asia Cup 2025 Final.
