A young Pakistan domestic cricketer made a suicide attempt after he was ignored for the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) inter-city championship.
Pakistan domestic cricketer, Shoaib, who is from Hyderabad in the southern Sindh province, attempted suicide by cutting his wrist after he was not selected for the Pakistan Cricket Board’s inter-city championship.
On Tuesday, Shoaib was rushed to hospital by his family members in a precarious condition after he had cut his wrist while attempting suicide.
This is not the first time an incident like this has happened in Pakistan as in February 2018 a young Pakistan domestic player named Muhammad Zaryab had hanged himself to death after he was dropped from his city’s under-19 team.

Also, the player’s family member said that Shoaib had remained confined to his room due to depression after not being selected.
A family member also said that they found Shoaib in the bathroom of his room with his wrist cut and him being in an unconscious condition and they immediately rushed him to the hospital. Also, the condition of the cricketer is being termed as critical at the moment.
“We found him in the bathroom of his room with his wrist cut and him unconscious and immediately rushed him to hospital where he is still in critical condition,” the family member said.
