Pakistan has announced a 13-man squad for the second Test against Zimbabwe from Friday at the Harare Sports Club, Harare. This game will be Pakistan’s final match of their African tour that started with the white-ball matches in South Africa before the T20Is and Tests in Zimbabwe.

The eleven players that played in the victorious first Test last week have been retained, while pace sensation Haris Rauf and veteran domestic bowling allrounder Tabish Khan have also been included in the 13-man list.

Although it is unlikely that Babar Azam will change the team which registered a massive victory of an innings and 116 runs in the first Test, however, both Haris Rauf and Tabish Khan stand a chance to make Test debut in place of Sajid Khan, who made his Test debut in the previous game.

Hasan Ali 9-wicket haul, Fawad Alam ton romp Pakistan to victory

Both Hasan Ali and Fawad Alam have made stunning comebacks to the national side. Alam had slammed 3 hundreds in the last 5 matches on his return to the Test side after a decade of being ignored.

Hasan Ali, who was Man of the Tournament in the 2017 Champions Trophy found himself out of the side across formats in a couple of year’s time since. On the back of outstanding domestic performances, he made his return to the national side, in all three formats.

He picked twin five-wicket hauls in the second home Test against South Africa in February; the pacer followed it up with a Man of the Match worthy 9-for against Zimbabwe helping his side hand an innings loss to the hosts.

Pakistan’s 13-man squad for the 2nd Test:

Abid Ali, Imran Butt, Azhar Ali, Babar Azam, Fawad Alam, M Rizwan, Hassan Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Nauman Ali, Tabish Khan, Sajid Khan, Haris Rauf
