The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has on Tuesday, July 8, announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which is set to be played from July 20 to 24 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

Salman Ali Agha will continue to lead the Pakistan National Cricket Team in the T20I cricket, as they aim to build momentum ahead of the upcoming tough tour of the West Indies as well as the big events like the Asia Cup 2025 and the ICC T20 World Cup 2025.

Former captains and once Pakistan’s batting mainstays Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan were once again overlooked, as they continued to be sidelined from the T20I setup. The PCB has not mentioned anything about Babar and Rizwan’s continuous snub from the T20I side.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan’s continuous omission from the T20I side confirmed that their careers in the shorter format of the game have ended. Both Babar and Rizwan were last seen in T20I action for the Men in Green against South Africa at Centurion in December 2024.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Haris and Sahibzada Farhan have been picked for the wicketkeeping duties by the Pakistan selectors, while the spin department features the likes of Abrar Ahmed and Sufyan Moqim. On the other hand, Ahmed Daniyal and Salman Mirza will take care of the pace attack. Shaheen Shah Afridi was not picked for the Bangladesh tour.
