Aaqib Javed, a former pacer for Pakistan, has issued a strong caution to Team India in front of the ODI World Cup 2023, which will be held in India later this year.
The 50-year-old believes the Babar Azam-led side is a stronger team in 50-over cricket and has an opportunity because of its bowling. He believes it will be difficult for any side to chase down a 300-plus run total against them.

Former Pakistani pacer Aaqib Javed claimed that the Babar Azam-led team will not struggle on Indian wickets and would be among the favorites to win the championship after the Rohit Sharma-led Indian team easily defeated Sri Lanka and New Zealand at home during the World Cup year.
Aaqib Javed who participated in 163 ODIs and 22 Test matches, claimed that Pakistan has historically been a challenge for India, so when it visits India later this year for the World Cup, it shouldn’t encounter many problems.

“Pakistan has always given India a tough time. When the Pakistan team goes to India for the World Cup, it will not face any problems playing on the pitches there,” Aaqib Javed was quoted as saying by GeoTv.
“Pakistani team’s bowling makes them more formidable in ODI cricket”: Aaqib Javed
As per Aaqib Javed, the Pakistani team is superior in one-day international cricket because of their bowling, and it will be difficult for any team to chase a total of 300 runs or more against them in the ODI World Cup 2023.
“The Pakistan cricket team is better in ODI cricket because it has an advantage due to bowling. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah are fully fit, so it will benefit the team. Pakistan has Shadab Khan in India, so there will be no need for a fast-bowling all-rounder. If Pakistan scores 300 runs, it will be very difficult for the other team to chase it down,” he added.
The ODI World Cup, which will be held in India later this year, will be a crucial test for the Indian cricket squad, which is captained by Rohit Sharma. The team hasn’t claimed an ICC championship since 2013, but at home, it will be well-positioned to do so. Pakistan’s performance, on the other side, will also be heavily scrutinized.
