Former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel feels that coaches need to help Rishabh Pant over his dismissals on similar kinds of deliveries. His words arrive after Rishabh Pant’s poor performance in the IND vs SA T20I series, where he failed to smack even one good knock in 4 games.

Rishabh Pant, who was the stand-in skipper for India against South Africa, scored just 57 runs in 4 games. His top knock was 29 runs. Moreover, Pant also fell victim to a similar kind of delivery in every game. South Africa bowlers bowled him off-wide deliveries to which he lost his wicket.

Coaches Need To Help Out Rishabh Pant: Parthiv Patel

While speaking to Cricbuzz, former Indian wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel said that Rishabh Pant is losing his wicket to similar types of deliveries which is a disappointing thing to see. Patel also said that coaches need to help Pant regarding those balls.

“The disappointing aspect is that there is a clear pattern to Pant’s dismissals, but he has not been able to counter it. And this has been going on for the last 2 to 2.5 months. Pant has been made (stand-in) captain because he has that smartness. But the coaching staff has an important role here. They need to help him out,” Pathib Patel said.
