Former Indian cricketer Parthiv Patel has opined his views on Hardik Pandya not bowling and Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bowling woes in recent times. However, India ticked most of the boxes in their first warm-up fixture against England, and it did look like the batting side is almost sorted with plenty of choices in hand at the moment.

However, India would be looking to improve their bowling as Bhuvneshwar Kumar conceded 54 in his four-over spell without picking up a wicket. He was ineffective in the powerplay and bowled a lot of loose deliveries in the death overs. He wasn’t bowling well in the IPL as well for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and he will be a worry for the Indian camp.

Parthiv Patel Doesn’t See Hardik Pandya Bowling In First Few Games

Parthiv Patel mentioned that it is highly unlikely that India will use Hardik Pandya’s bowling for the first few games with Virat Kohli using his five bowler strategy in the warm-up fixture. He also wasn’t happy with Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s performances and reckoned the seamer looked totally out of rhythm.

“I don’t think Hardik is going to bowl in the first few games looking at the way Virat Kohli has used only five bowlers.

“Yes, I’m worried about Bhuvneshwar Kumar. He looks in the kind of form which he had in the IPL, where he took just six wickets, but yeah, he looked out of rhythm, almost as if didn’t practice.” Parthiv Patel told in the mid-innings interview

Parthiv Patel Feels Shardul Thakur Will Be Given A Go

India used their frontline seam attack of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami, and Jasprit Bumrah for the warmup fixture against India, and Parthiv Patel feels Shardul Thakur might find in-form a place in the next warmup fixture. Shardul Thakur was the highest wicket-taker in the UAE phase of IPL 2021, and he will play an important role for India in the T20 Worldcup game.

“We might just see Shardul Thakur in the next game. So it might be a combination that we might see,” he added.
