Mohammed Siraj was the main architect behind Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win against Punjab Kings. The right-arm pacer bowled a sensational spell of fast bowling and made PBKS bowlers dance to his tone. He broke the backbone of the opposition by removing their main players and putting his team in driving seat.

If this was not enough, he displayed a staggering fielding performance as well as nailed his throw to send Harpreet Bhatia packing. He returned with his career-best figures of 4/21 and helped his side win the game.

Mohammed Siraj opened up about his spell and said that in the lockdown period, he worked on his skills and fitness. Speaking at the post-match presentation, he said:
“First ball the length was a bit short and then I sensed need to bowl full to get some swing and that was the plan (for first wicket). The lockdown was really important for me, because I used to get hit for boundaries very often before that. I worked on my plans, my fitness and my bowling and it’s all paying dividends now.”
PBKS vs RCB: “Always rated myself as a decent fielder,” Mohammed Siraj on his fielding effort
Mohammed Siraj further went on to elaborate on his fielding that sent Bhatia back into the hut. He said that he rates himself as a good fielder. He added:
“I always try to improve in every department of the game because I understand it is important to contribute in whichever way possible. Always rated myself as a decent fielder, misfields can happen but I take my fielding seriously.”
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be next seen in action when they will take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) in their next game on Sunday (23rd April).
