Openers: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal
Vaibhav Suryavanshi will open the batting for RR along with an in-form Yashasvi Jaiswal in the all-important game against MI.
Vaibhav is coming on the back of a record-breaking hundred against GT and will look to put on another strong and aggressive display of batting against MI.
Yashasvi, on the other hand, has been the backbone of the team and has scored three half-centuries in the last four games.
The left-hander would like to carry his rich vein of form into the game against five-time champions MI on Thursday.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Sanju Samson (c/wk), Riyan Parag, Nitish Rana, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga
Rajasthan Royals would want their regular captain, Sanju Samson, to be fit and available for the next game against MI, as his leadership skills will be crucial for the team leading into the clash.
RR's middle order has not been able to finish games on various occasions in IPL 2025 and would like to rectify that in the upcoming match against MI.
Riyan Parag, who has led Rajasthan Royals in the last few matches, was able to finish the game in the last match against GT and guide the team to an important win.
The right-hander would like to replicate the same performance in another do-or-die clash against MI at RR's home ground on Thursday.
Dhruv Jurel looked set to be third time lucky and finish off the game against RCB in Bengaluru.
But the wicketkeeper batter was dismissed while chasing a wide ball. Jurel would hope to take RR over the line if he gets the opportunity to do so in the next game.
Bowlers: Sandeep Sharma, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Tushar Deshpande
Rajasthan Royals would want their bowlers to pick up wickets in the first six overs and give good support to Jofra Archer.
Jofra has been bowling with pace and control but has lacked support from the other end, which was evident in the game against RCB.
Rajasthan Royals are in desperate need of a good third fast bowling option who can slow things down in the middle overs.
The former champions have tried the likes of Tushar Deshpande and Yudhvir Singh Charak but the pair hasn't lived up to the expectations.
The Spin duo of Maheesh Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga have bowled well in patches in the last couple of games.
Hasaranga, in particular, has played his part to the best of his abilities by picking up wickets in the middle overs, but has also leaked runs at crucial moments.
