Cheteshwar Pujara was sitting beside Harbhajan in the studio. The veteran spinner jokingly mocked Pujara for smiling awkwardly and not delivering a proper salute like his fellow commentator.

Harbhajan Singh Salutes Teenage Sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi

Harbhajan Singh was impressed watching the Rajasthan Royals openers dominate quality fast bowlers. The veteran spinner praised the 15-year-old during the live broadcast. He said that performing like this at such a young age is a big achievement for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

"15 saal ka ladka, iss tareeke se ballebaazi kare, dominate kare - ye bahaut badi baat hai. Salute hai mera. Mera salute hai Yashasvi aur Suryavanshi - kamaal ho yaar tum dono [For a 15 year old to bat this way and dominate is a big thing. I salute you - Jaiswal and Suryavanshi, you guys are brilliant]" Harbhajan said on commentary.

Sooryavanshi targeted Jasprit Bumrah during the second over of the innings. Facing him for the first time, the teenager hit a six off the first ball. He added another maximum later in the same over, surprising the Mumbai Indians dugout.

Rajasthan Royals Record Joint Second Fastest Team Fifty

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi put on an 80-run opening partnership in just five overs. Jaiswal set the tone by scoring 22 runs off Deepak Chahar in the first over. The duo then attacked Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult.

The aggressive batting helped Rajasthan Royals reach the fifty in just 2.4 overs. This equals their franchise record for the fastest team fifty in IPL history and is the joint second-fastest overall in the tournament.

Sooryavanshi was dismissed after scoring 39 off 14 balls against Shardul Thakur. However, Jaiswal continued the attack, remaining unbeaten on 77 off 32 deliveries. Rajasthan Royals posted 150/3 in the 11-over innings.

The Hardik Pandya-led team managed to score 123 runs in the allotted overs. They suffered their second consecutive defeat in the ongoing tournament.
