When Ravichandran Ashwin Last Played For Chennai Super Kings?
Ravichandran Ashwin began his IPL journey with CSK and played eight seasons with the franchise. The off-spinner joined other teams after CSK's two-year suspension.
Ashwin was signed by Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS). He then represented Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) and is now with Rajasthan Royals.
The Tamil Nadu-born cricketer played for the Pune Supergiant in 2016 and 2017. Ashwin led the Punjab Kings for two seasons in IPL 2018 and 2019.
He was bought by the Delhi Capitals in 2020 before moving to the Rajasthan Royals in 2022. Ashwin has taken 35 wickets in 45 matches for RR in the IPL.
Ravichandran Ashwin remains one of the top spinners with a wealth of IPL experience. He has been a crucial part of the Indian team across formats, especially in Test cricket.
The 38-year-old cricketer's bowling style will be suited to his home ground, MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Will Gujarat Titans Release Mohammed Shami?
Shami has been a crucial part of the Gujarat Titans' bowling lineup. He joined the team for ₹6.25 crore ahead of their debut season in 2022.
The pacer played a key role in helping the team secure its first IPL title in their inaugural season. He also finished as the leading wicket-taker in the IPL 2023.
Mohammed Shami has played 33 matches for the Gujarat Titans and taken 48 wickets. The right-arm pacer is the team's second-highest wicket-taker after Rashid Khan.
Shami is expected to be a top priority for retention, and the Ahmedabad team is likely to want to keep him on their roster.
The 34-year-old bowler missed the IPL 2024 season due to an ankle injury sustained during the ODI World Cup 2023.
He is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy. Shami has resumed bowling in the nets and could rejoin the India squad for the New Zealand series.
