Virat is coming on the back of a match-winning half century against CSK at the Chinnaswamy Stadium and would like to deliver another solid performance against KKR.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Mayank Agarwal, Rajat Patidar (c), Romario Shepherd, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Tim David, Krunal Pandya

Royal Challengers Bengaluru has been dealt a major blow with respect to the resources they have at their disposal before the current season of IPL got suspended midway.

The Rajat Patidar-led side will be without the services of left-handed batter Devdutt Padikkal, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to an injury.

RCB has signed experienced top-order batter Mayank Agarwal as Padikkal's replacement and is expected to come straightaway into the playing XI for the game against KKR.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru would also be concerned about the fitness of their captain Rajat Patidar, who also picked up a finger injury against CSK.

Having said that, Patidar is expected to be fit before the important clash against KKR.

The right-hander is an integral part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru's middle order and started the season with good knocks against MI and CSK.

The revised IPL schedule has disrupted the combinations of several teams, including RCB, who will be without the services of hard-hitting all-rounder Romario Shepherd for the last few games.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru management would hope for Romario to guide the team into the playoffs courtesy of a win against KKR before joining the West Indies squad for the tour of England.

Tim David and Jitesh Sharma will have to help the team post an above-par total, and the duo has been able to fulfill its role in the season so far.

Bowlers: Suyash Sharma, Yash Dayal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Lungi Ngidi

Like their batting, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have to rejig their bowling lineup as well, with suspense over Josh Hazlewood's participation in the rest of the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru would hope for Josh Hazlewood to be fit and available for the game against KKR, as the fast bowler has been instrumental in keeping the opposition's batting lineup in check.

If Hazlewood is not able to recover in time, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have the option of roping in a fast bowler as a replacement for the remaining matches, and are expected to go into the game against KKR with Lungi Ngidi.

The spin department of RCB has been taken care of by Krunal Pandya and Suyash Sharma, both of whom have done a decent job with the ball.
