Virat Kohli admitted that his daughter Vamika has already started enjoying the swing of the cricket bat but claimed that he is unsure if she will become a cricketer.

The 36-year-old welcomed his first child with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma on January 11th, 2021 in South Africa. Since then, every fan has been wondering if Virat Kohli's daughter will follow in the footsteps of her father who is the greatest batsman of the modern era.

Fans became even more eager after Virat Kohli gave birth to a baby boy earlier this year which saw him miss the entire 5-match Test series against England. While his son, named Akaay, is a little too young to have any interest in cricket, Kohli's daughter seems to have picked up the bat already with fans now getting eager to see Vamika swinging the bat.

Virat Kohli reveals Akaay is healthy and Vamika has picked up a bat

Virat Kohli recently appeared in an interview with none other than RCB's very own Mascot and Content creator Mr. Nags (Danish Sait). The duo's videos, whenever they get together, go viral all over social media as Mr. Nags always asks silly but funny questions to the batter.

This time around, too, it was no different. Mr. Nags was in his usual attire and was in a mood to pull Virat Kohli's leg. The video starts off with Nags asking Kohli if he is friends with him because he is a common man and not a commentator. That question brought out a wicked smile on the batter's face as he had a bit of a cold war with the people in the commentary box in IPL 2024.

In the same context, Mr. Nags asks if he is friends with the guy who spoke a lot of good things about him and has the first name of Sunil. Nags referenced the attack launched by Sunil Gavaskar on-air against Virat Kohli in the context of commentators criticizing him for no reason.

After a few seconds of pause, Virat Kohli asked "Who" and Nags replied Sunil Chhetri, who is a very good friend of the cricketer.

Then Mr. Nags asked Virat Kohli about his son Akaay and how is he doing. To that, Kohli replied, "The baby is good, healthy and everything's fine." Nags then made a hilarious claim that Virat has planned his family very well as one of his kids will play the IPL and the other in the Women's Premier League.

That's when Kohli disclosed the precious information about his daughter. “My daughter has picked up a bat and she has really started to enjoy the swing. But I am not sure. It’s their choice at the end of the day."

When will Virat join the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024?

Virat Kohli is expected to be a part of the first batch that will leave for New York on May 25th for preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. In case RCB qualifies for the playoffs after their final league game tomorrow against Chennai, Kohli might leave for the USA in the second batch after May 26th.
