RCB vs GT: Virat Kohli taunts Shaman Gill for this reason (Watch Video)

Ahead of match number 52 between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans, Virat Kohli shared a friendly banter moment with GT skipper Shubman Gill.
The Faf du Plessis-led RCB will be locking horns with Gujarat Titans in a reverse fixture just 6 days after the two teams met at the Narendra Modi stadium.
Bengaluru had won that match one-sidedly as Virat Kohli and England's Will Jacks starred with their emphatic performances to chase down 201 comfortably and win the tie by 9 wickets.
Virat Kohli trolls Shubman Gill
In a video shared on Gujarat Titans' official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Shubman Gill's senior in the Indian team Virat Kohli can be seen having some banter. Kohli, who is known for his easygoing and fun-filled nature outside of the pitch, had a moment of fun before locking horns with Gill later tonight.
Both Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill shared a very good bond with each other in the Indian dressing room. Gill often treats Kohli more like his elder brother and less like his senior and Kohli, too, treats the 24-year-old like a younger brother.
Shubman Gill is, in fact, touted to be the heir of Virat Kohli's batting legacy in the Indian National team. So it is obvious and necessary for them to maintain a good relationship which often comes with some banter.
In the video, Virat Kohli can be seen chilling on a sofa in his training attire with Shubman Gill walking into the room and towards him in GT attire. The duo then shook each other's hand with Kohli saying a few words to the Fazilka-born batter.
While Virat Kohli had just finished his batting session at the nets, it seemed as if Shubman Gill had just arrived to hit the nets. That intrigued the former India captain to say that he came too early for practice in a sarcastic way just like Delhi-based guys do.
"Badi jaldi aaya practice mei" (You came so early for practice?) - Kohli told Gill.
Both Kohli and Gill had contrasting weeks since they faced each other last week in Ahmedabad. Following RCB's thumping win over GT, the Indian team's selection committee announced the 15-man squad for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024 including 4 extra players.
It was quite obvious that Virat Kohli was going to make it to the main 15-man squad of team India, but Shubman Gill apparently missed the bus. Gill has been put alongside Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan in the reserve players list with Yashasvi Jaiswal eating up his opening spot with Rohit Sharma.
The only way for Shubman Gill to break into the Indian playing XI is by hoping that any top-order batsman gets injured and gets ruled out of the T20 World Cup. He won't necessarily want that but given the ambitious personality that he is, Gill would have loved to play his first-ever WC edition in the shortest format.
