Team India won the Champions Trophy title by defeating a spirited New Zealand team in the final by 4 wickets at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It was a historic win for the Men in Blue as they finally won an ICC 50-over title after a gap of 12 years.

However, there will be no celebrations for the team when they return back to their country. It is understood that the team will not have any victory parade or celebrate with the fans despite such s huge achievement.

The team was earlier expected to have grand celebrations when they reach India just like the T20 World Cup 2024. However, there will be no such celebrations leaving the fans disappointed.

The reason behind no celebrations despite India's CT 2025 win

The IPL is due to start on March 22 and the Indian players involved in the Champions Trophy do not have much time now. The players will need to freshen up and rejuvenate themselves to be involved in the upcoming IPL season which will go on for the next two months.

As a result, the players will go back to their respective homes in different cities in order to spend some time with their families before they join their respective IPL teams in the upcoming IPL season.

The shortage of time between the Champions Trophy and the IPL makes it difficult for the players to have an open-bus parade as they did after the T20 World Cup 2024 win last year.

Although the Champions Trophy win was a big achievement, the lack of time between the two huge tournaments makes it impossible for the BCCI and the players to have any significant celebration.

India's massive celebrations after T20 World Cup 2024 win

After winning the T20 World Cup 2024 last year, the Men in Blue arrived in the country to a rousing reception from the fans. The team met Prime Minister Narendra Modi where they shared the insights of their incredible victory.

All the players then flew to Mumbai for a massive open-bus victory parade at the iconic Marine Drive where people gathered in thousands to get a glimpse of the champion cricketers. It was a historic moment and the players were clearly overwhelmed to see so much support for them.

After the victory parade, the team landed at Wankhede Stadium where they were felicitated by the BCCI in front of a packed crowd. The players entertained the crowd with their words and did a victory lap all around the ground.

India clinch Champions Trophy 2025

In the final, Rohit Sharma and his men won crucial moments to win a thrilling match by 4 wickets. New Zealand batted first after winning the toss and scored 251-7 on the back of half-centuries from Daryl Mitchell and Michael Bracewell.

While Bracewell provided the finishing touches with a brilliant 53 off 40 on a difficult pitch, Rachin Ravindra also scored a fluent 37 off just 29 balls at the top. Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav picked up two wickets each.

In reply, India started brilliantly courtesy of Rohit Sharma but were put in a spot of bother as New Zealand's spinners clawed their way back into the game.

Despite losing three quick wickets, the middle order ensured to take the team home with an over to spare. New Zealand's depleted bowling line-up gave its best but the Men in Blue were too good on the day.
