Rinku Singh gets engaged to MP Priya Saroj; all set to get married soon

India cricketer Rinku Singh has got engaged to the Member of Parliament (MP) Priya Saroj. Both Rinku and Priya got engaged in a private ceremony and are all set to tie the knot soon. Rinku is in India's squad for the upcoming T20I series against England.

The left-handed batter will soon join the Indian squad and is likely to feature in the first T20I of the series to be played on January 22 in Kolkata. He is a crucial part of India's middle order in the shortest format.

It has been two-three days since Rinku got engaged to Priya Saroj. Priya is a Member of Parliament from the Samajwadi Party. She was elected as the MP from the Machhlishahr constituency in Uttar Pradesh in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections of India. At 25, she is also the youngest-ever Member of Parliament from India.

Meanwhile, Rinku has been named in India's squad for the five-match T20I series against England starting from January 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

Rinku Singh's numbers in T20Is and ODIs

Rinku is a crucial player for India in the middle and lower order. He is seen as a finisher and is likely to bat at No. 6 in the first T20I. He has been a regular part of India's T20I team since his debut in August 2023.

The 27-year-old has an excellent T20I record with 507 runs in 30 matches at an average of 46.09 and a strike rate of 165.14. The left-hander has struck 3 fifties in his T20I career so far.

Rinku has also played two ODIs and scored 55 runs at an average of 27.50. While he is just a part of India's T20I squad, he has a stellar record in first-class cricket. He has scored 3336 runs in 50 matches at an average of 54.68 with 7 hundreds adn 22 fifties.

Rinku Singh's numbers in IPL

Rinku SIngh will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025. The 27-year-old batter was retained by the franchise ahead of the mega-auctions for INR 13 crore after brilliant performances for the franchise over the years.

He has performed exceptionally well for KKR in the last few years. He scored 893 runs in 45 matches at an average of 30.79 and a strike rate of 143.34 with four fifties.

Rinku had a breakthrough season in IPL 2023 when he scored 474 runs in 14 matches at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate if 149.53. He was immediately selected for Team India after his stellar performance this year.
