Ravindra Jadeja takes funny jab against all Indian captains
While Ravindra Jadeja was asked the same question, he named every captain as difficult, as no one listens to him, and laughed after answering the question. Jaddu had a poor return to the ODI squad as he failed to pick wickets despite being economical in the match, as he finished his spell for 0/54 in 10 overs.
Ravindra Jadeja stated, "For me, all captains are difficult to convince for DRS. No one listens to me."
Virat Kohli starred in the run chase
Coming to the match, India won the toss and elected to field first, as Naman Dhir made his debut in the match. West Indies had a brilliant start courtesy of their openers, John Campbell and Justin Greaves. They were excellent as the latter scored his maiden ODI hundred, playing a knock of 101 runs; however, the middle order crumbled, and they finished 295/7 in their 50 overs.
While chasing, it was Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma who gave India a brilliant start, as the Indian captain played a superb knock of 110 runs, and he stitched a brilliant partnership in the run chase with Virat Kohli, who came in with a different mindset and more aggressive style of batting, and played a knock of 139 runs off 88 deliveries, smashing 10 fours and 9 sixes.
Kohli once again stepped up big and broke several milestones as he became the fastest to reach 15,000 runs, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s milestone as the two sit right at the top 2 positions in the most ODI runs in international cricket.
