Indian captain Rohit Sharma's poor run of form continued as he was dismissed for yet another low score during the third Test between India and New Zealand in Mumbai. Despite playing on his home ground Wankhede Stadium, Rohit was unable to get amongst the runs.

Chasing 147 runs to win, Rohit walked out to bat with his opening partner Yashasvi Jaiswal at the crease. However, he was dismissed in just the third over of the innings when he tried to play his favorite shot off Matt Henry.

Henry bowled a short-of-a-length ball which Rohit tried to pull towards midwicket. However, he got a top edge and the catch was brilliantly taken by Glenn Phillips running backwards.

It was the end of another unconvincing innings from the Indian captain. He was brutally slammed on social media for his poor form this Test season at home. Fans even called him a walking wicket and asked him to consider retirement.

Rohit Sharma's horror Test run

With this knock, Rohit Sharma's poor home Test season ends on a disappointing note. Rohit scored 133 runs in 10 innings in Tests against Bangladesh and New Zealand which is way below his high standards.

His next assignment is the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia where he will be tested. While Rohit was dismissed cheaply, the other Indian batters too did not add much to the scoreboard. Indian batters' struggle against New Zealand spinners continued in this match as well.
