Fans on Twitter reacted after Rajasthan Royals (RR) thumped Mumbai Indians in the 38th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They thrashed the five-time champions by 9 wickets at the Sawaimansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday (22nd April) to win their 7th game of the season.

Mumbai Indians opted to bat first at the Sawaimansingh Stadium and it was the worst possible start to their innings with the bat. Three big guns Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav perished early as the visitors were left tottering at 20/3.

Mohammad Nabi (23) plays some crisp shots in his innings but he couldn’t convert the start he got. With the team reeling at 52 for four, Tilak Varma (65) and Nehal Wadhera (49) joined hands and bailed Mumbai Indians out of trouble with their 99-run partnership.

Their valiant partnership powered Mumbai Indians to a total of 179 runs at the Sawaimansingh Stadium in Jaipur. For Rajasthan Royals, Sandeep Sharma was the pick of the bowlers as he claimed a fifer whereas Trent Boult also picked two wickets.

Rajasthan Royals had a magnificent start with the bat in the chase. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler (35) took an attack on the Mumbai Indians bowlers. They added 74 runs for the opening stand before Sanju Samson joined Jaiswal and the duo did further carnage.

While Jaiswal (104*) slammed a magnificent century, Sanju scored an unbeaten 38 runs as Rajasthan Royals claimed their 7th win of the season with 9 wickets in hand. They made Mumbai Indians bowlers look clueless and continued their dominance over the five-time champions at the Sawaimansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
