Rajasthan Royals (RR) spinner Adam Zampa praised his fellow teammates Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal by calling them smart and quality bowlers. Adam Zampa said that both Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have worked hard at planning.

Adam Zampa was picked by RR in the playing XI in the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Sunday (May 14). The clash takes place at RR’s home ground Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. RCB won the toss and opted to bat first in the match.

Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal Are Smart And Quality Bowlers: Adam Zampa

Speaking ahead of the match, Aussie spinner Adam Zampa heaped praises on Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been the reason behind RR’s successful spin attack in IPL 2023 so far. Zampa said that while Ashwin has the ability to adapt to different venues, Chahal reads the batters well.

“They both (Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal) are smart and quality bowlers, they don’t have that mystery you get to see in the IPL, but those guys have worked hard at planning. Ashwin has the ability to adapt to different venues and Chahal reads the batters well and has high skill”, Zampa said.

The Aussie spinner also talked about his own performance, saying that he has not given his best in IPL 2023.

“I have bowled okay without being at my best, there was only one game, the one against Chennai where I bowled really well. I have been inconsistent in the other games”, Zampa further said.
