The student protest organized by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar area has been in the headlines across the whole world, and the cricketing fraternity also joined the protest through social media handles after many former cricketers and their wives shared their views on the ongoing protest. Now, former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar has shared his views on it.
Sanjay Manjrekar has taken a stand in support of the students and others who are present in the protest. He has taken a dig at the ruling government for the issues, which mainly include the leaks of the NEET paper, which caused several students to commit suicide, and thus all the protesters are seeking the resignation of the education minister.

While writing on X (formerly Twitter), former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar has used strong words against the government and has not shied away from saying that the students’ protest shows something is terribly wrong that has happened inside the past few months and days. He blames the media as well for brainwashing that is occurring in the country.

"This isn’t just about NEET paper leaks [mainly the reason behind the ongoing protests]. It’s a revolt against feeling generally suppressed in a democracy & the mainstream media’s brainwashing. As a father of two, I know first-hand: suppressing & brainwashing today’s youth will never work," Sanjay Manjrekar wrote in the second post.

Shubman Gill stands alongside the Jantar Mantar protestors
Sanjay Manjrekar is the latest one to comment on the matter, yester current India ODI and Test captain Shubman Gill also showcased his support towards the students as he shared an Instagram story.
He mentioned that every citizen of the country has the right to learn and also has massive respect for the young people who are raising their voices, and he believes that education is the only thing that has the power to shape the future of the country.

Not only Shubman Gill, but former India great Sachin Tendulkar also wrote a beautiful message on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. Tendulkar wrote on X, "My father was a professor. He was a mentor and guide to many young students. One lesson that he instilled early on was, ‘Failure is okay, cheating is not.’ Never take shortcuts."

Not only these cricketers but also Ishan Kishan, Yuvraj Singh, and Shikhar Dhawan are the notable names that have been sharing their views and support on the protest. Except for them, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Jasprit Bumrah’s wives, Ritika Sajdeh, Devisha Shetty, and Sanjana Ganesan, have also shared their support for the students and women.
