Pakistan National Cricket Team pacer Shaheen Afridi has faced a massive setback ahead of the second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The second game between the teams will take place from 30th August at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.

Shaheen Afridi has been dropped from the Pakistan XI for the second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The left-hander will most likely be replaced by Abrar Ahmed in the XI as currently, the PCB has named a 12-man team for the second game.

Shaheen Afridi getting dropped comes as a massive surprise as he has been the premier fast bowler for the team in all three formats for the last few years. The left-hander of late has come under a lot of scanner for his off-field antics as well as the performances for the team.

Shaheen Afridi picked two wickets in the first Test against Bangladesh

Shaheen Afridi didn't look in great rhythm in the first Test against Bangladesh National Cricket Team. He failed to make an impact with the first new ball and then took his first wicket when the second new ball was taken. He managed just two wickets in the game and was well below his par.

Shaheen Afridi, who became the father recently, didn't cut the 12-man team named by Pakistan for the second game. Instead of him, spinner Abrar Ahmed, who was removed from the squad for the first Test, and Mir Hamza have been included while the rest of the team is similar to what they filled in the first match.

Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique are the two openers, while skipper Shan Masood, along with Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel, will be handling the middle order. Mohammad Rizwan is the keeper while Naseem Shah, Mohammad Ali, Mir Hamza and Khurram Shahzad are the pacers.

It is expected that Pakistan will be including Abrar Ahmed in the XI for the second Test. They faced a lot of criticism for not including a spinner in the team. He will be high on confidence going into the game as he was part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad for the Bangladesh A game.

Pakistan faced a disappointing 10-wicket loss in the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. It came as a massive surprise because they were in the position to win the match as they declared the innings after scoring 448 runs in the first innings.

However, Bangladesh came up with a better batting performance and took a lead of over 100 runs. The Pakistan National Cricket Team then displayed a bizarre batting effort as they got all out for 146 runs, setting the target of just 30 runs, which they chased with 10 wickets.

Here's the Pakistan 12-man team for the second Test against Bangladesh
