Pakistan team is known their for fightbacks on the field on many occasions in the past. However, sometimes they also engage in heated fights with each other like every other cricketer or sportsman.

Something similar happened between Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi and batting coach Mohammad Yousuf. Coach Mohammad Yousuf and Shaheen Afridi had a heated verbal exchange during a recent practice session.

Although the event made a lot of headlines on social media, there were rumors about what exactly happened between the duo. However, the rumours are now cleared and we know the exact reason why they fought as revealed by a PCB source.

Shaheen Afridi is a crucial pacer for the Pakistan national cricket team and is a regular member of the side across all three formats. Since 2018, the left-arm pacer has dismantled many opposition batters and is still among the top pacers in international cricket.

Mohammad Yousuf is a former Pakistan legendary batter from the 90s and early 2000s. He played under skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq and is now the current batting coach of the Pakistan team. He was earlier known as Yousuf Yohana during his early cricketing days.

Revealed: Real Reason behind Shaheen Afridi vs Mohammad Yousuf

Coming to the actual event that happened between Mohammad Yousuf and Shaheen Afridi. According to a PCB source, as revealed to Geo News, Afridi was bowling a lot of no balls during his practice session. Yousuf noticed him and called him for that mistake.

Afridi got a little annoyed and told him to mind his own business. To this, the Pakistan batting coach answered it was his duty to tell him and he was doing his business. The conversation also included a bunch of cuss words and it became a heated moment.

However, the source also added that it just happened in the heat of the moment and both forgot it later. He also informed it was not necessary to take the matter to the Pakistan Cricket Board and hence, they did not take the matter forward.

"This was nothing more than a routine case of heat-of-the-moment, so the chapter was closed there and then," the source was quoted by the Pakistani channel.

Pakistan to take on Bangladesh in two Tests in August 2024

Meanwhile, the Pakistan team is gearing up for a Test series against Bangladesh. The Test series will witness two games between the Asian sides during Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan 2024. It is also part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25.

The Pakistan vs Bangladesh 1st Test takes place from August 21. The venue of the match is Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi City. The PAK vs BAN 2nd Test commences on August 30 at the National Stadium in Karachi. Some Pakistan players are currently busy in Sri Lanka's Lanka Premier League 2024 (LPL 2024).
