Shikhar Dhawan is one of the best openers India has ever produced, but his not-so-happy personal life is completely open to everyone. His story is full of heartbreak and turmoil, which ended with a bitter divorce from Ayesha Mukherjee last year with mutual consent.

The Family Court of Delhi had granted a divorce to the Indian cricketer, citing cruelty as the primary reason, ending an 11-year marriage in October 2023. It was also claimed that Dhawan and Ayesha had not living as husband and wife since August 8, 2020.

However, Dhawan has not yet gotten custody of his son Zoravar with Ayesha since the young boy is an Australian citizen and lives in Melbourne with his mother. Well, despite the emotional turmoil, the left-handed batter is always a smiling man, but he often confesses how badly he misses his little boy.

Shikhar Dhawan's name linked with Mithali Raj?

Well, there were rumors that Dhawan was dating the Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi, but none of them reacted to the masalas, and it eventually slowed down. Even the Indian cricketer’s name was linked with the former Indian women’s cricket team captain, Mithali Raj.

Mithali is still single and is currently working as a commentator in the ongoing IPL 2024. The legendary women's cricketer is also the mentor of the Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Meanwhile, Dhawan recently broke his silence on the funniest rumors of dating Mithali on a talk show.

The Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper revealed that there were rumors that he was getting married to Mithali in an interview on Jio Cinema’s show ‘Dhawan Karenge’ and this revelation would certainly shock many. Speaking about the funniest rumor about him, Shikhar Dhawan said, “I heard that I was getting married to Mithali Raj.”

Shikhar Dhawan hails Rishabh Pant for remarkable comeback

Meanwhile, Dhawan lauded the Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant for his inspirational return to cricket after a challenging period of 15 months. In December 2022, Pant suffered a severe setback when he sustained several injuries in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway.

Following this incident, Pant was out of action for more than one year, as he was doing his rehab at the NCA after undergoing several surgeries. However, Pant showcased remarkable resilience and made a stunning comeback, leading the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the IPL 2024.

Furthermore, Pant earned a spot in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024, which is set to take place in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA) from June 1 on the back of his impressive performance as the wicketkeeper-batter for DC in the IPL 2024.

Dhawan signed off by saying, “I would like to appreciate the way he has handled his rehab and injuries after the accident. The positivity and the strength he has shown is tremendous and the way he has come back and played in the IPL and got into the Indian team is unbelievable and amazing and I am very proud of him.”

Notably, Dhawan is currently recovering from a shoulder injury due to which he could play only five games in IPL 2024.
