South African Cricket Team batter Hashim Amla has announced his retirement from all forms of the game. Earlier in 2019, the right-handed batter said that he won’t play for South Africa again and since then he has been playing country cricket for Surrey.
Hashim Amla has been a vital cog in the South African setup where he has amassed over 18,000 runs across all formats. It won’t be wrong to say that he was one of the reasons behind South Africa’s rise in Test Cricket from 2010-2013 where he showed immense application in tough situations.

“The Surrey ship runs so professionally that it would make any international player feel a sense of honour just to be involved with. I wish them all the best and many more trophies.” he added.
Hashim Amla an Asset
Hashim Amla would be somewhat disappointed that he couldn’t help his national team South Africa help the marquee tournament ICC World Cup in his career. The batter is an inspiration for the entire cricket world Cricket as he was the lighting spark for the team.
It would be interesting to see whether Hashim Amla enter into the coaching setup or in the administration. The batter had the privilege of captaining the South African Test Cricket Team. He captained the team when Graeme Smith retired from the format.
