SRH Playing 11 vs Mumbai Indians- IPL 2025, Match 41:
Openers: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head
Abhishek Sharma will open the innings with Travis Head for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming game against the Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. Abhishek Sharma, who was dismissed after playing a scratchy innings in the last meeting between the two teams, will look to get things going right from the first ball.
Travis Head is also struggling to score in the ongoing edition of the league, which was evident during his innings against the same opposition at the Wankhede Stadium, as the left-hander crawled his way out of the first six, which is something that Head is not known for.
Both Travis and Abhishek took on the opposition bowlers in a record chase of 246 runs and guided the team to a memorable win against PBKS. The duo will hope to replicate that at SRH's home ground.
Middle-Order Batters and All-Rounders: Ishan Kishan (wk), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, Abhinav Manohar, Aniket Verma
Sunrisers Hyderabad would want their middle-order batters to come good against Mumbai Indians in the upcoming game, as they have failed to make a significant contribution in the tournament so far, barring the opening match against RR, where the Pat Cummins-led side crossed the 250-run mark.
Experienced left-handed batter Ishan Kishan, who started the tournament with a century against RR, has not lived up to the expectations since then and has accumulated low scores while batting at number three for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Wicketkeeper batter Henrich Klaasen has also not been able to repeat his heroics of the last season, which has come to haunt Sunrisers Hyderabad in the batting department
The only positives that have come out of an otherwise disappointing campaign so far for SRH have been the form of lower-order batters like Aniket Verma and captain Pat Cummins, who have been able to guide the team to a respectable total.
Bowlers: Pat Cummins (c), Harshal Patel, Mohammed Shami, Zeeshan Ansari, Eshan Malinga
SRH's bowling lineup has looked short of plans in the ongoing IPL edition with the likes of Mohammed Shami and Pat Cummins failing to outfox the batters with the new ball and in the final five overs, which the duo are expected to do, considering the amount of experience they have at their disposal.
Both Shami and Cummins haven't got much support from the other end from Harshal Patel and Eshan Malinga. Malinga, who was brought into the team in place of countryman Kamindu Mendis, hasn't been able to make an impact with the ball.
As far as SRH's spin bowling department is concerned, it is being handled by young Zeeshan Ansari, who is the only specialist spinner in the playing XI in the absence of Adam Zampa.
