Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be desperate to return to winning ways when they lock horns against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 27th game of the ongoing IPL 2025. The match is scheduled to be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday (April 12).

With just one win from five games, SunRisers Hyderabad are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table. Last year's runners-up started their season in style, thrashing the Rajasthan Royals by 44 runs after posting 286 runs.

However, things have only gone downhill since then, as they have lost four games in a row. In their last game, they suffered a crushing 7-wicket loss at the hands of the Gujarat Titans. SRH will be desperate to win the upcoming game and revive their campaign.

So, as SunRisers Hyderabad eyes a much-needed victory over PBKS, we are taking a look at the SRH Playing 11 for the upcoming match.

SRH Playing 11 vs Punjab Kings- IPL 2025, Match 27:

Openers: Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma

Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma are set to be the openers in the SunRisers Hyderabad Playing 11 for the upcoming game as well. Even though both the batsmen have failed to live up to the expectations so far, they are set to retain their spots in the SRH Playing 11.

With SunRisers Hyderabad in desperate need of a victory, the onus will be on their openers to deliver with the bat. In the last game against GT, Abhishek got the start but could not convert it into a big score and departed with 18. On the other hand, Head was out for only 8 runs.

Middle-order: Ishan Kishan, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kamindu Mendis, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Aniket Verma

Ishan Kishan has been a disappointment as well. He has failed to play an impactful knock with the bat since scoring the century in the first game of the season. In the previous game, the southpaw was out for 17 runs and will look to bounce back.

Nitish Reddy has been getting the starts, but his knocks have lacked intensity so far. In the previous game, the SunRisers Hyderabad allrounder scored 31 runs but played 34 balls for the same. Reddy will also be desperate to turn things around.

Heinrich Klaasen looked in good touch in the previous game, scoring 27 runs off 19 balls. The SRH wicketkeeper will be eyeing a better display against PBKS. Aniket Verma got the start as well but could not last long, departing for 18 while Kamindu Mendis scored just 1.

Bowlers: Pat Cummins (c), Zeeshan Ansari, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohammed Shami

Just like the batsmen, the SRH bowlers have also struggled this season so far. The onus will be on captain Pat Cummins to lead his team from the front in the upcoming game. Cummins picked up 1 wicket in the last game.

The other bowlers in the SRH Playing 11 are expected to be Zeeshan Ansari, Jaydev Unadkat, and Mohammed Shami, while Simarjeet Singh could be used as an impact player.

Shami picked up 2 wickets in the last game, while the other three could not take any wickets and will be keen to do better in the upcoming contest.
