Indian middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav conveyed a heartbroken statement after India’s loss to Australia in the ICC World Cup 2023 Final. Suryakumar Yadav acknowledged the Pat Cummins-led side’s achievement and extended his congratulations to them.

Following India’s defeat in the final, players including Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Shami, and Ravichandran Ashwin shared their thoughts. The cricketers expressed their thoughts and emotions following the painful loss in the final match.

India posted a total of 240 runs in 50 overs during the final clash against Australia. Virat Kohli (54 off 63) and KL Rahul (66 off 107) provided valuable contributions. Travis Head played a stellar innings, scoring a century and guiding his team to the sixth World Cup title.

Suryakumar Yadav mentioned the collective experience of victories and defeats with the team throughout the prestigious tournament. The middle-order batter thanked the fans for their immense love and support for the team during the World Cup.

“Heartbroken. This will take some time to sink in. Together in win, and in loss. Nothing will take away what this team means to all of us We felt your immense love, support and energy everytime we stepped on the field. THANK YOU Congratulations to the Australian side,” Suryakumar tweeted.

India entered the 2023 World Cup final undefeated, having won all nine league games and defeating New Zealand by 70 runs in the semi-final. Despite being considered favorites, the Rohit Sharma-led team failed to cross the finish line, finishing as runners-up.

Team India Players Impressed With Their Performance In World Cup

Ace batter Virat Kohli was named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding batting performances throughout the tournament. Kohli scored a record-breaking total of 765 runs in 11 innings, featuring three centuries and six fifties, at an impressive average of 95.62.

Skipper Rohit Sharma emerged as the second-highest run-scorer with 597 runs. Mohammed Shami led the bowling charts, finishing as the top wicket-taker with 24 scalps in seven matches. Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav also contributed with the ball.
