Former Indian batsman Aakash Chopra noted that Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan deserves a lot of credit for being brave enough to bat despite his health condition at stake. Rizwan was reported to be in ICU for two days prior to the semi-final against Australia and he played a huge role in setting up a big total for Pakistan in the semi-finals.
Rizwan started the innings slowly but took after with his partner Babar Azam playing the aggressive role. He finished with 67 off 52 balls with three fours and four sixes in his innings and continued his excellent run of form for Pakistan in the T20 World cup 2021. However, his valiant efforts weren’t enough as Australia chased down the score with one over to go.

“The Guy Is Worthy Of Praise” – Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra heaped praise on the Pakistan openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan for putting up an excellent show at the top of the order despite losing the toss. He admitted that Rizwan had struggled to time the bat at the start while Babar Azam was in another world timing it perfectly.
“When Australia won the toss and opted to field, Babar came to bat. How well he was batting, the timing at the start – it was just surreal. There was Rizwan with him, who was struggling a little at the start, but the guy is worthy of praise,” Aakash Chopra told on his YouTube Channel.

Aakash Chopra Hails Mohammad Rizwan For His Braveness
Aakash Chopra heaped praises on Mohammad Rizwan for the way he showed up in a crucial game and he considered his inexperience in the big tournaments as well. He added that Rizwan’s inning was very enjoyable and noted about his wagon wheel too.
“The boldness with which he [Rizwan] plays, he has not played too many knockout matches in his life, but the way he batted, it was worth watching. It was enjoyable to watch him bat and Babar as well, although he did slow down a little. I was expecting that his wagon will run a little faster,” he added.
Marcus Stonis and Matthew Wade turned out to be heroes for the Australian side with a partnership of 81 runs.
