Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria felt that Australia’s preparations for the semi-final against Pakistan in the T20 World cup 2021 were spot on and explained how Australia executed their plans. Pakistan came into the semi-final as the most favourite to win the tournament as they had an unbeaten streak in the tournament.

However, Australia managed to play above their expectations and showed why they can never be ruled out in a big ICC tournament. Australia’s batsman could have let them down as they were reeling at 96 for the loss of 5 wickets at one stage in the chase of 177. However, Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade put un a show for the sixth wicket with an 81 run partnership and took the Aussies into the finals.

Australia Scrutinize Everything And Catch The Weaknesses – Danish Kaneria

Danish Kaneria felt that the Australian side has done their work cut out ahead of the T20 World Cup 2021 semi-finals like in the film Chak De India and noted that they had analyzed Pakistan’s weaknesses as well.

“The Australian team is like the one in the film, Chak De India. Like we saw in the movie, the Australian team analyses every player and every little detail related to them. They scrutinize everything and catch the weaknesses in every player and plan to capitalize on that,” Danish Kaneria said on his Youtube Channel.

Danish Kaneria Heaps Praise On Pakistan’s Wicket Keeper Batsman

Danish Kaneria explained the way Mohammad Rizwan had fought through his chest infection and still made a valiant 67 in the semi-finals. He added that Rizwan will go down as the best Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman in history and credited him a lot for the dedication levels.

“The reason behind Pakistan’s semi-final defeat was nothing big. They did most things right. But Rizwan, he was not well. He was in ICU with a chest infection. He was ill and even got hit with the ball in his face and received a cut. But even after all that, he came and continued to play.”

“He showed passion and motivation, and that is why I am a big fan of him. Mohammad Rizwan is the best wicket-keeper batter in Pakistan’s history. I have said this earlier, and I will keep on saying this. He is hardworking and dedicated to doing his job. Whatever he does, he does it with full dedication,” he added.

Hasan Ali’s catch drop in the 19th over of the game proved to be costly as Matthew Wade hit the next three balls for 3 consecutive sixes, and Australia won the game in style.
