Ravi Shastri has always never been shy to voice out his opinion and he hoped that India could be able to trash some opponents in the next T20 World cup in Australia. Shastri’s tenure as the Indian head coach has come to an end with the Indian team failing to qualify for the semi-finals following the two losses in their first two games.

India did not look at their very best against Pakistan and New Zealand and it was always going to be tough after the losses in the first two games. This World cup is also the last tournament for Virat Kohli as India’s T20I captain who has stepped down as the leader from the format for India as well as RCB. The next T20 World cup 2022 is scheduled to be held in Australia.

“We Lacked Daring In The Second Game” – Ravi Shastri

Ravi Shastri mentioned that he is not going any reasons for the first two losses and admitted that India lacked the braveness against New Zealand. He added that the toss did play a part and hoped that India will turn up aggressively in the next T20 World cup in Australia.

“Let’s be honest, I am not here to make excuses. We lacked daring in the second game against New Zealand. I know the toss was important and I do feel it will be important, not as much now because the weather has cooled down a bit.

It is something for the boys to learn, they will get an opportunity next year. It is not often you have World Cup in 12 months, hopefully, they will kick some butt next year in Australia,” Ravi Shastri told in the post-match conference.

Ravi Shastri Explains The Bio Bubble Difficulties

Ravi Shastri noted that any player is accustomed to a reduction in average when they stay in the bio bubble for more than six months. He added that the players are not machines to keep being mentally and physically fit.

“When you are six months in the bubble, there are lots of players in this team who are all-format players. In the last 24 months, they have been home for 25 days. I do not care who you are, if you’re name is Bradman and you are in a bubble, your average will come down because you are human. It is not something you put petrol in the backside and expect the guy to move on,” he added.

Ravi Shastri is replaced by Rahul Dravid as the next Indian head coach and this might be the next big thing in Indian cricket.
