T20 World Cup 2022: India's Schedule, Date, Time, Squad (Predicted)

ICC on Friday announced the schedule for T20 World Cup 2022. The tournament will commence on October 16, 2022 and conclude with the final on November 13. The venue for the tournament is Australia.

A total of 16 teams are part of ICC T20 World Cup 2022. 8 teams have already qualified for the Super 12 round. They are England, New Zealand, Australia, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh.

India is part of Group 2 in T20 World Cup 2022. Three other teams part of group 2 are Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh. Two more teams will join the group after the first round. England, New Zealand, Australia, and Afghanistan are part of group 1.

During the super 12 round, there are two groups of 6 teams each. Each team will collide with the other teams of their group once. After the completion of the super 12 round, the top two teams from each group in the points table will qualify for the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals will lock horns in the final.

Ahead of the super 12 round, 8 teams will lock horns in the first round. Out of these, 4 teams will qualify for the super 12 round. Sri Lanka, Namibia, West Indies, and Scotland are the 4 teams who will play the first round. Four more teams will join them later. India will witness a new skipper in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in the form of Rohit Sharma. Although India’s final squad for the tournament will be finalized post the performances of players in IPL 2022 and forthcoming T20 tournaments, here we take a look at the predicted squad of India for the tournament.
