Harbhajan Singh the former Indian spinner has taken a jibe at Michael Vaughan, the former England skipper after India made it to the final of the T20 World Cup 2023.

India tamed England in the second semi-final. Batting first riding high on Rohit Sharma's 57, SKY's 47 and cameos from Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel India reached 171/7 in their 20 overs.

With the ball, the spinners turned the game in India's favour taking wickets at regular intervals. Axat Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took three each and Jasprit Bumrah took two to dismantle the England batting lineup and bowl them out for just 103. Unlike in the Indian batting innings, the England batting innings had no rain breaks and there was full shine. The dry wicket worked to India's advantage with the spinners coming into their own.

Michael Vaughan Praises Team India After Reaching T20 World Cup Final

Michael Vaughan complimented the Indian team for their victory against England in his tweet saying " India throughly deserve to be in the final .. The best team in tournament so far .. Was always going to hard for England on this pitch .. India just so much better on lower slower spinning pitches .. #T20IWorldCup."

However, he previously made a few comments on Team India and the fact that knowing their semi-final venue gave India a slight advantage in the semi-final.

He took to X to vent out his frustration during the first semi-final between South Africa and Afghanistan. "Surely this Semi should have been the Guyana one... but because the whole event is geared towards India it’s so unfair on others… #T20IWorldCup," Vaughan wrote on his X (formerly Twitter) handle.

Meanwhile, responding to a fan's question on India's advantage in knowing their semi-final venue Vaughan said England would have won the semi-final if it was played at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba.

"If England had beaten SA they would have got the Trinidad semi and I believe they would have won that game .. So no complaints they haven’t been good enough .. But Guyana has been a lovely venue pick for India" said the former England skipper.

Vaughan's constant comments on Team India irked former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh who did not hold back and replied to Vaughan for his "silly" analysis of the game.

"What makes you think Guyana was a good venue for India ? Both Teams played on the same venue. England won the toss that was an advantage. Stop being silly. England was outplayed by India in all departments. Accept the fact and move on and keep your rubbish with yourself. Talk logic not nonsense," Harbhajan wrote.

Meanwhile, India reached their first T20 World Cup final since 2014. Back then, they lost to Sri Lanka in the final. This time around, they face a South African side who look unbeatable right now and are on an unbeaten side in the tournament. Unfortunately, the winning run for one of these sides will end in the final. More interestingly, the team that wins the final will remain unbeaten for the first time ever in a T20 World Cup edition.
