Team India Dominate As ICC Announces The ICC Men's ODI Team Of The Decade

Team India was in the centre of a lot of spotlights as the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade. Three Indians featured in the ICC team as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni was all a part of the side.

The ICC will announce the ICC Awards Of The Decade on Monday, December 28. Team India will take the centre stage hopefully in the awards. The ICC Awards of the Decade show, comprised of members of the voting panel. Alan Wilkins will host the show and it will feature former international stars Shaun Pollock and Lisa Sthalekar. Senior journalist Sharda Ugra and Tim Cutler, founder of Emerging Cricket, will join them.

MS Dhoni Captains The ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade

The opener of India, Rohit Sharma and David Warner are the two openers in the side. At number three is Indian skipper, Virat Kohli. South African star AB de Villiers grabs the number four spot in the team. Shakib-al-Hasan is in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade at number 5. MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper, grabs the number 6 spot alongside being the captain and wicketkeeper of the team.

English all-rounder and the 2019 World Cup winner, Ben Stokes grabs the number seven spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade. Australian pacer Mithcell Starc takes the number 8 spot in the side. Trent Boult follows him on the 9th spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade. Imran Tahir and Lasith Malinga take the last two spots in the side.

Team India Has Been The Maverick Of ODI Cricket

The India National Cricket Team has emerged as one of the strongest ODI teams in the last decade or so. The Men in Blue won the 2011 Cricket World Cup and then went on to win the 2013 Champions Trophy. They also qualified for the final of the ICC Champions Trophy final in 2017.

Thus the Indians dominate the ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and MS Dhoni have all been the best players of this Indian side and hence it is no wonders as to why they are featured in the ICC Men’s ODI Team Of The Decade.
