He Was That Kind Of A Person – Wasim Jaffer
In an interview with Sportskeeda, Wasim Jaffer stated that MS Dhoni had no qualms about drinking Pepsi as he was used to it.
“MS Dhoni used to drink Pepsi during the drinks break. It’s not allowed. Fitness wise, there is a lot of sugar in it and sportspersons need to stay away from it,” Wasim Jaffer told Sportskeeda.
“But he used to drink Pepsi or Coke regularly. He was that kind of a person. Just because you are playing at international level, where there is a lot of pressure, you don’t change your process. That is what I like about him,” he added.
Dhoni started his captaincy career on a high note by winning the 2007 T20 World Cup. He guided the team to win the ODI World Cup in 2011 and the Champions Trophy in 2013.

He’s Improved With Time – Wasim Jaffer
The former Indian opener mentioned that Dhoni believed in continuing the practices that brought him success.
“He used to always say, the things that you have been doing, which have brought you success, don’t leave that suddenly, just because you are playing a different level of cricket. That is something which I feel has worked for him,” he continued.
“He’s improved with time, but I don’t think he’s changed. That is a very good thing which he had from the start of his career up until now,” he concluded.
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni had a remarkable career, representing India in 90 Tests, 350 ODIs, and 98 T20Is. He retired from international cricket in 2020 and continued to participate in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He led the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to their fifth title in the IPL 2023.
