England are touring Bangladesh for a limited-overs series for the first time since 2016, which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is. White-ball skipper Jos Buttler said that he is looking forward to the upcoming series in Bangladesh, expecting tough conditions and hoping that the team will test themselves.
The ODI series is part of the World Cup Super League, and the first two ODIs will be played in Dhaka on March 1 and 3, while the third game will be played on March 6 at the Zahur Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium in Chattogram. The first T20I match will be played on March 9 in Chattogram, and the next two matches are scheduled for March 12 and 14 in Dhaka.

The Closest We Can Get To Play In India – Jos Buttler
During the first press conference since the team arrived on Thursday, Jos Buttler believes the conditions in Bangladesh are the closest the team can get to playing in India, with the Three Lions hoping to defend the ODI World Cup, which is set to be held in India later this year.
“This is the conditions that would probably be the closest we can get to play in India. That’s the kind of challenge we want as a team to test ourselves in tough conditions,” Buttler told reporters.

We Are Excited For The Challenge – Jos Buttler
England are the only visiting team to win an ODI series in Bangladesh since 2015. Buttler emphasized the strength of his current squad and stated that he should not rest on past successes. Buttler has a good track record in India and was the top scorer in last year’s Indian Premier League.
“Bangladesh have a good record at home. We have some very good players in our team. We are excited about the challenge. We have a lot of guys in the last few years exposed to playing in sub-continent conditions,” added.
England have announced Will Jacks as the replacement for Tom Abell in the ODI squad. Jason Roy, Phil Salt, Dawid Malan, James Vince, Moeen Ali, Jos Buttler, and Will Jacks, are the only recognized batters in the squad.
