"The Last Few Tweets Were NOT Made By Me" - Washington Sundar Confirms His Twitter Account Was Hacked

Young Indian cricketer Washington Sundar revealed on Saturday that his official Twitter account was hacked a few days ago. Washing Sundar issued a clarification to his followers, confirming that he didn’t post any tweets in the last few days.
Earlier this week, cryptocurrency tweets were made from Sundar’s official Twitter account. In the past, similar hacking incidents involved Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) player Krunal Pandya and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) accounts.

Washington Sundar took to Twitter to share a message, confirming that the tweets made from his account in the last few days were not made by him.
“Hey guys, I want to clear that the last few tweets were NOT made by me as I am NOT associated with any of the content that was posted on my Twitter handle. The issue has been resolved now, and I have undertaken the necessary precautions to secure my account,” read the note shared by Washington.

The 23-year-old was ruled out of the later stages of the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury. The all-rounder is currently recovering from his hamstring injury and hoping to make a comeback for the national cricket team.
The right-arm off-spinner had a disappointing season with both bat and ball in the IPL 2023. He picked up three wickets in seven matches at an average of 48.66 and an economy of 8.26. He scored 60 runs with an average of 15 and a strike rate of 100.

Washington Sundar made his ODI and T20I debuts in 2017. He played his first match in the longer format of the game during India’s tour of Australia in 2021. He has missed a lot of matches in recent times due to injuries. He last played for India in the white-ball series against New Zealand earlier this year.
