Pakistani batter Khurram Manzoor has made a stunning statement about Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli, saying he has a better conversation rate than the former Indian captain, who is considered one of the greatest batters in 50-over cricket.
Khurram was referring to his stats from List-A games, but his statement quickly went viral on social media as a result of Virat’s involvement. The 36-year-old wasn’t considered by Pakistani selectors despite his consistent performances in List-A cricket.

I Score Century Every 5.68 Innings – Khurram Manzoor
Speaking on Nadir Ali’s YouTube channel, Manzoor stated that he is the world’s No. 1 batter in that format, with Kohli coming in second. He highlighted his impressive record and claimed to be better than Kohli in List A cricket.
“I am not comparing myself with Virat Kohli. Fact is, in 50-overs cricket, whoever are there in the top-10, I am the world no.1. Kohli is behind me as he scores a century every six innings. I score century every 5.68 innings, which is a world record. Over the last 10 years, my average is 53, and I am ranked fifth in the world, as far as List A cricket is concerned,” Manzoor said on Nadir Ali’s Podcast.
Manzoor made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2009. The 36-year-old has represented Pakistan in 16 Tests, 7 ODIs, and 3 T20Is. He scored 7922 runs in 165 innings at an average of 53.52, making him one of the best performers in List A cricket.
The right-handed batter added, “I also have scored 24 centuries in the last 48 innings. Between 2015 and now, whoever has opened for Pakistan, I still remain the leading scorer among them. I am also the top scorer and century-getter in national T20. Yet I get ignored. I have 8-9 records (in List A cricket).”
After facing backlash, Khurram has taken a U-Turn from his earlier statements and stated that his interview was perceived out of context. In a series of tweets, Khurram stated:
My team has just checked that as per the updated stats Virat has taken that record away from me and now he has a better ratio than me and rightly so, as I said, he is a generational talent.

Virat Kohli has scored three centuries in his last nine one-day international appearances. The 35-year-old is just four centuries away from surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s (49) record for the most centuries in ODI cricket.
