Mumbai Indians, the five-time IPL champions will be taking on Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday, April 30. The match will be played in Lucknow from 7.30 pm IST. In this article, we predict their playing XI against LSG in their next match.

Both these teams lost their last respective matches and have a quick turnaround after losing their last respective games. While LSG lost to RR, MI went down to Delhi Capitals.

Mumbai Indians are placed ninth on the points table. The team won their previous match to Punjab Kings and since then have lost two games on the trot. They have lost to Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Capitals in the last two games.

Mumbai Indians under Hardik Pandya have lacked consistency. His captaincy and his changes in terms of bowling combination has been debated as well. Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma have not been able to give MI consistent starts.

Jasprit Bumrah has not found support from the rest of the bowlers. The likes of Gerald Coetzee and Piyush Chawla needs to come up with more support for the Indian pacer.

Mumbai Indians Playing 11 vs LSG: IPL 2024, Match 48

Rohit Sharma

Rohit will continue to open for Mumbai Indians. Against DC, he scored just 8 chasing a big score to win. The former MI skipper has scored 311 runs from nine matches.

Ishan Kishan (WK)

Kishan will open the batting with Rohit. In this season, he has not got any momentum in the matches that he has played. Kishan scored 20 off 14 balls against DC.

Suryakumar Yadav

SKY will slot in at three. He has not been at his best and consistent this season yet. He scored 26 off 13 balls at a strike rate of 200 in the big run-chase.

Tilak Varma

The southpaw will slot in at four. He scored 63 off 32 balls in the match against DC and tried to keep his team in the game. He has scored the most runs for his team this season with 336 runs from nine matches.

Hardik Pandya (C)

Hardik will slot in at five. He scored 46 off 24 balls in the match against DC but was dismissed at the wrong time. With the ball, he has proved to be very expensive this season. He seemed very frustrated in the game against DC.

Tim David

David will slot in at six. He scored 37 off 16 balls in the big run chase against DC. David has not been able to do what Kieron Pollard did consistently for MI.

Mohammad Nabi

Nabi will slot in at seven. His batting at seven lengthens the batting lineup for Mumbai Indians. He has also opened the bowling in a few games for MI.

Piyush Chawla

Piyush Chawla will slot in at eight. He took 22 wickets last season for MI but has not been in the best wicket-taking form for his side. Chawla not picking up wickets has been a major problem for MI.

Gerald Coetzee

Coetzee was out with a stomach bug in the last game. He should return into the XI in the next game. The South African pacer has picked up 12 wickets in 8 games.

Jasprit Bumrah

Bumrah will slot in at 10. He has been the best bowler for Mumbai Indians and their most consistent. He is topping the Purple Cap list with 14 wickets from nine overs. He needs to continue to his form for Mumbai Indians.

Nuwan Thushara

Thusara concludes the predicted lineup for Mumbai Indians. He was expensive in the match against DC going for 56 runs off his four overs. He is yet to pick up a wicket in the IPL.

Impact Sub- Nehal Wadhera / Akash Madhwal

Depending on conditions and oppositions, One among Wadhera or Akash Madhwal should be the Impact Sub for Mumbai Indians. Wadhera scored 49 in the match against RR but could not replicate his form against DC scoring just four.
