Tim David ruled out of IPL 2025? RCB drop colossal hint about his availability

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) posted an appreciation post for Tim David on their social media. Some believe it was a hint that David has been ruled out of the IPL 2025 due to an injury.
Tim David sustained an injury while fielding in the last match against Sunrisers Hyderabad and was unable to walk properly.

RCB’s social media post
RCB posted a photo of Tim David and wrote ‘This is a Tim David appreciation post!’ and fans are assuming that the RCB vs SRH game was the last appearance of the RCB’s power hitter in the ongoing IPL.
David was fielding on the boundary, and in the last over of the Sunrisers Hyderabad innings, Ishan Kishan swiped the ball behind the square boundary, and David was chasing the ball to the fine leg boundary.
David stopped the ball but was hobbling after that and immediately left the ground. Jacob Bethell replaced him on the ground in the field.
In the second innings, RCB were chasing a mammoth score of 232 runs. David generally bats at the no. 5 or 6 position, but he came at the no. 8 position in the big, important chase.
It was an important game for RCB to make sure their place in the top 2 position, despite that David came on the ground at the no. 8 position.
The power hitter played just five balls and scored just one run, and ultimately, RCB lost the match. David wasn’t looking fully fit while batting, and now, after RCB posted an appreciation post of David, it’s looking like that David’s IPL 2025 journey might end here.

Injury scare in RCB camp
In the business end of the season, RCB are dealing with a number of injuries. RCB’s skipper Rajat Patidar is still recovering from a hand injury and didn’t come to the field in the last game.
Patidar is also not captaining the side as well. Phil Salt just returned to the squad in the last game after achieving full fitness.
Earlier, Devdutt Padikkal was ruled out of the tournament, and Mayank Agarwal replaced him for the IPL 2025. Josh Hazlewood is also recovering from his shoulder injury.
Who will replace Tim David in the RCB squad?
Liam Livingstone will be the perfect replacement for Tim David in the RCB squad. Livingstone played the initial matches for RCB, but due to his underwhelming performances, RCB dropped him from the playing XI.
Livingstone scored just one half-century in seven matches in IPL 2025. If Livingstone returns to the squad, it will be a golden opportunity for him to redeem himself in the knockout games.
