Fans on Twitter didn't go easy on Virat Kohli's wife, Anushka Sharma, after the premier India National Cricket Team batter announced his retirement from Test cricket. His decision came on Monday (12th May) through a social media post.

Virat Kohli will go down as one of the greatest batters to have played Test cricket. His aura as a batter no doubt will be unmatchable, as the kind of performances that he put in the home conditions as well as overseas were exceptional and bailed the team out of trouble many times.

Virat Kohli also captained the Indian National Cricket Team in Test cricket, and it wasn't a surprise that when he ended, he ended as the greatest-ever skipper of the team in the format. Under his leadership, the India National Cricket Team developed into a completely different team.

Virat Kohli scored 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85 in the 123 games

Virat Kohli became the first Asian captain to win a Test series in Australia when, under him, the team won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2018-19 in Australia. He also guided the team to the final of the ICC World Test Championship in 2021 and didn't even lose a single series at home during his tenure.

In the 123 games that he played in Test cricket, Virat Kohli scored 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85. His tally also included 30 Test tons and 31 fifties. Kohli's last came against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground, which didn't go the way he wanted.
