UAE will be up against Afghanistan in the third match of the UAE T20I Tri Series. This article provides details about the UAE's Playing 11 vs Afghanistan for the third match of the series.

UAE Playing 11 vs Afghanistan- UAE T20I Tri Series 2025, Match 3:

Openers: Muhammad Zohaib, Muhammad Waseem

Although the UAE lost its opening fixture of the tri-series against Pakistan, the team would be confident of scripting a comeback against Afghanistan.

The reason is that they were not able to seize crucial moments in the last match and would hope to do that in this match.

One of those moments was when the bowlers were able to pick four Pakistani wickets for 104 runs, but let them off the hook in the final five overs.

While in the batting department, the United Arab Emirates started well but lost their way in the middle overs, which resulted in them losing the match.

The onus will be on the batters to look for singles after getting off to a start and not just go for big shots, which led to their downfall in the previous match.

The role of openers will be vital in ensuring that the team can put on a strong show with the bat.

The opening pair of captain Muhammad Waseem and Muhammad Zohaib will have to get the team off to a solid start in the first six overs and convert the start that they get into a big score individually as well.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Asif Khan, Alishan Sharafu, Rahul Chopra (wk), Ethan DSouza, Dhruv Parashar, Saghir Khan

The openers will be followed by a middle order that is relatively inexperienced as compared to the Afghan middle order.

Their middle order includes names of batters like batter Rahul Chopra, along with Ethan D’Souza, Saghir Khan, Dhruv Parashar, and Alishan Sharafu, all of whom have the capability to win the match on their own.

The home side would bank on its middle order to come good in their second match of the tri-nation series.

Their top five batters will have to do the bulk of the scoring for the team and not leave a lot for the lower order to do in terms of run scoring.

Bowlers: Haider Ali, Junaid Siddique, Muhammad Jawadullah

Unlike the batters, the UAE would be somewhat happy with the way the bowling department went about its job against a higher-ranked team like Pakistan.

Barring the final five overs, the United Arab Emirates' bowlers were able to stem the flow of runs for the major part of Pakistan's innings and would like to do the same against Afghanistan.

Having said that, the captain and the management would wish for the bowlers to finish the job once they have got the team on the bat, something which they failed to do in the last match.

Due to the above-mentioned reason, the United Arab Emirates would be expected to go with an unchanged bowling lineup in the match against Afghanistan and replicate the performance they delivered against the Men in Green.
