Rajasthan Royals (RR)'s teen sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, has been lighting up IPL 2026 with his explosive batting. In just his last match, he scored a century off just 36 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
In a video posted by the franchise on their social media handles, Sooryavanshi was seen interacting with two young fans and joking around with them.
I take 100 Rs. for a photo- Vaibhav Sooryavanshi
In the video, RR players can be seen waiting around in an airport lounge when Sooryavanshi was approached for a photo by two children.
Sooryavanshi pranked them by saying that he charged INR 100 for each photo. The fans eventually handed him 200 Rs. as there were two of them, but Sooryavanshi refused the money and gladly took a photo with them.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in IPL 2026
15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been competing for the Orange Cap with people significantly older than him. In 8 matches, he has scored 357 runs and is currently the second-highest run-scorer of this season.
Sooryavanshi's runs have come at a blistering strike rate of 235 and a healthy average of 45. He has made two fifties and a century. All three fifties have come in just 15 balls, and the century was in 36 deliveries.
He has also hit 32 sixes in this season, currently the most by any batter. Recently, he became the fastest (by balls faced) and the youngest batter to score 1,000 runs in men's T20 cricket.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also the only uncapped batter to make two centuries in the IPL. During his innings against SRH, he hit 12 sixes, which is the highest by an Indian player in an IPL innings.
Rajasthan Royals performance in IPL 2026
Currently, Rajasthan Royals are fourth in the points table with 5 wins in 8 matches and 10 points. Despite starting the season strongly with four wins in a row, RR have lost 3 of their last 4 matches.
RR are currently tied for 10 points with three other teams, but have the lowest net run rate of the three. This could become significant if RR are to make the playoffs.
In their last match, RR lost to SRH despite Sooryavanshi scoring a 36-ball century. RR's middle order was unable to build on the platform given by Vaibhav, as they ended up with too little of a score in comparison to what could have been.
Fifties from Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan, along with a sterling finish from Nitish Kumar Reddy, led SRH to comfortably chase down the target of 220. RR will face a yet unbeaten Punjab Kings on April 28 in New Chandigarh for their next match. Given their current form, going up against an unbeaten team will bring little cause for concern.
