Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has said that with the ouster of Virat Kohli as skipper from all formats, Kohli’s era has ended. He also mentioned that Kohli worked very hard and served the Indian team with great dedication.
Virat Kohli resigned as Test skipper recently post India vs South Africa Test series, in which India lost 2-1. Earlier in November last year, the right-handed batsman had stepped down as T20I skipper. Later, BCCI also removed him as ODI skipper to have the same skipper in both the limited-overs format. As a result, Kohli is not the captain of the side in any format now.

Aura Created By Virat Kohli As Captain Was Huge: Rajkumar Sharma
While speaking on a podcast on Khelneeti, Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma said that the aura created by Kohli during his captainship was huge. He also said that captain Kohli’s era has ended now and the new captain will come in with new ideas.
“Every captain has an era and the Kohli era has ended. The aura created by Virat Kohli was huge. He worked very hard and served the Indian cricket team with great dedication and commitment. The new captain will come in with new ideas. Fortunately, we have a new skipper and coach. Hopefully, they can be on the same page so India can come forward with a new strategy,” Rajkumar Sharma said.
Virat Kohli led India for almost 7 years, leading the side in all three formats. He failed to win any ICC title under his leadership. However, India bagged many achievements in bilateral ODI, Test, and T20I series under Kohli.

Rohit Sharma is the new ODI and T20I skipper for India. BCCI is yet to announce the new Test skipper for India. Sharma led the side in a T20I series against New Zealand in November last year, bagging a 3-0 whitewash in the series. However, Sharma is yet to lead India in ODIs.
Although he was nominated as the new ODI skipper ahead of India’s tour of South Africa 2020-21, Sharma could not arrive on the tour due to a hamstring injury. KL Rahul led the team in Rohit Sharma’s absence, facing a humiliating whitewash in the ODI series 3-0.
