Punjab Kings batter Nehal Wadhera had a horrible outing with the bat in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Chandigarh.

Punjab, who were asked to bat first, had a decent start with the bat, but after that, Royal Challengers Bengaluru made a solid comeback. The hosts lost wickets quickly, and it was expected that the hero of the last game, Nehal Wadhera, would yet again play a rescue hand for the team.

Nehal Wadhera looked in decent touch as he was looking to settle. However, it wasn't meant to be as the Punjab Kings batter had an unfortunate end to his innings. The left-hander was involved in a horrible mix-up with Josh Inglis, and it saw him lose his wicket at a crucial juncture.

On the last ball of the 9th over, Suyash Sharma bowled a flat delivery outside off that was back of a length. Josh Inglis punched it back over the bowler's head and was happy with the single as Tim David got across to the field at long-on. However, Nehal Wadhera had other plans.

Nehal Wadhera came charging down for the second, and Josh Inglis had his back turned towards him. Both the batters ended up together at the bowler's end, and it was Wadhera who was at the receiving end of an unfortunate dismissal.

What caught the attention of many was the reaction of Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter Virat Kohli. The senior player was extremely pumped up as he was seen celebrating the wicket aggressively and taunting the PBKS youngster.

Punjab Kings posted a fighting total of 157 runs on the board

It wasn't the kind of start that Punjab Kings hoped for. Prabhsimran Singh (33) and Priyansh Arya (22) added 42 runs for the opening start. However, after that middle order failed badly as they were left reeling at 114 for six.

In the end, Shashank Singh (31*) and Marco Jansen (25*) played vital hands as Punjab Kings posted a fighting total of 157 runs on the board. For Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Suyash Sharma and Krunal Pandya picked two wickets.
